|

Attorney Robert Gigstad, the founder of Gigstad Law Office, LLC, was recently accepted into the Earl E. O' Connor Chapter of the American Inns of Court. The American Inns of Court is an association of judges, attorneys, and other legal professionals who share a passion for legal excellence.

Through regular meetings, its members strive to strengthen their professional relationships; discuss current legal trends; share their experiences and advice; encourage the utmost passion and dedication for the law; contribute as mentors; and advance the highest levels of ethics, integrity, and support for the practice of law.

The American Inns of Court fosters legal excellence, ethics, civility, and legal skills. The Inns have established a reputation for being an organization that fills the gap between a formal law school education and legal practice by offering continuing legal education on an ongoing basis.

One feature that distinguishes the Inns is the way that they encourage meaningful mentoring relationships. The Inns are one of the few professional organizations that involve multiple key players in the legal profession, including law students, state and federal judges, attorneys, and educators of law students.

Goals of the American Inns of Court Foundation:

  • Encourage members in the legal profession to participate in an American Inns of Court.
  • Advance the vitality and continuity of local Inns.
  • To further a culture of professional excellence, ethics, and civility in the legal community.
  • To ensure the long-term viability and growth of the American Inns of Court.

In 1985, the American Inns of Court Foundation, along with 12 Inns nationally, was established to promote the goals of professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal excellence on a nationwide level. The American Inns of Court movement has grown faster than any other professional legal organization.

Today, there are approximately 400 chartered American Inns of Court, located in 48 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Tokyo. There are over 30,000 active members, including state and federal judges, attorneys, law professors, and law students.

As a zealous legal advocate who is committed to defending his clients' constitutional rights, Attorney Gigstad is proud to become a member of the Earl O' Connor Chapter of the American Inns of Court.
