Iowa man blows 8 times legal limit B.A.C. on DUI stop...

Justin Clark, and Iowa man has been arrested for DUI with a Blood Alcohol Content (B.A.C.) of over 8 times the legal limit. The legal limit in most states is .08, including Kansas and Iowa, Mr. Clark blew a .627, which is easily the highest level B.A.C. I have ever heard of. Most people pass out around .3 to .4 percent.

According to the police report, officers were dispatched on July 29th due to reports of a driver who was all over the road. Apparently officers found Mr. Clark in his car revving his motor. The officer approached Mr. Clark, who was sitting in the driver's seat barely able to talk, let alone walk, or perform field sobriety testing. When police asked Mr. Clark what day it was he replied "Three, but now it is four"

Mr. Clark did submit to a preliminary breath test (PBT), which showed he had a blood-alcohol content of .486 percent at the scene. Clark was then transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where additional tests showed he had a B.A.C. of .627 percent.

Mr. Clark is only facing one charge of a First Time DUI.

I would personally say this guy is very lucky to even be alive, as the general rule is that most people die if they hit around .45 percent B.A.C.
